7 SERIES FIXED
900% Better Contrast
Taking projectors out of the dark. In September 2007, Black Diamond® Fixed changed the industry by allowing all projectors to perform well in both bright and dark environments giving customers the ability to utilize projection in applications that only a flat panel TV could exist before. Projection Design, Sony, JVC, Epson, Optoma and many others utilize the Black Diamond® screen technology to show off their latest and greatest projector technologies.
Still the Best.
900% Better Contrast
900% – published by S&V magazine, introduced in 2008,
Black Diamond ® is our award-winning, proprietary ambient
light rejecting screen material which preserves the
contrast ratio from the projector and enables a much more
accurate image representation than a matte white or gray
screen can achieve.
Classic Fixed Frame Style
All of our screens are completely hand-built and 7 Series
Fixed is no exception. We wrap our 3.5” fixed frames with
a fine velvet material which ensures that the frame is as
unobtrusive as possible during your viewing experience.
Simple but Strong
We understand the importance of simplicity combined
with strength to withstand the logistic and installation
process. That’s why we have constructed our frames out
of 3.5” aluminum extrusion with dual corner brackets
making your screen light-weight yet extremely strong, and
simple to configure on-site.
Our 7 Series Fixed screens with the curve option can bring
you an even greater sense of immersion when watching
movies. The slight curvature of the screen gives the
impression of the image wrapping around you, involving
you in the action to an even greater degree.
FOR THOSE WHO LIKE TO BE DIFFERENT.
7 Series Fixed is 100% custom and can be up to 5’ x 330’ Custom sizes, aspect ratios, curved radiuses, and materials are welcome.
BECAUSE EVERYONE LIKES CURVES.
For some people a curved screen can bring you an even greater sense of immersion when watching movies. The slight curvature of the screen gives the impression of the image wrapping around you, involving you in the action to an even greater degree. The opposite view is that a flat screen is more like a window into the movie. Either viewpoint is valid and “best” is up to you.
ACTUALLY, IT’S BEYOND PERFECTION.
In addition to preserving the contrast ratio from the projector, and increasing contrast performance over matte white screen materials by 900%, our Black Diamond® material also preserves the colors being produced by the projector. This is possible because Black Diamond®rejects the ambient light from the room which would include wall color, lights (which can push the screen into a different color temperature based), and other ambient light sources. Calibrating a screen has never been easier with our Black Diamond® material.
WITHOUT THE BRIDGE.
Unless you buy an SI screen with our patented Bungee tensioning technology, any time that you need or want to replace your screen, it would involve shipping the frame in it’s entirety back to the manufacturer so they can modify and replace the screen. With Bungee, this is not the case. We can simply ship you a new screen material and it’s as simple as snapping the connectors and bungees into the frame, and letting them self-align so there is no longer any headache on your part.
GET YOUR BAND-AIDS READY.
You haven’t seen sharp until you’ve seen 4K on one of our screens. Our Black Diamond® material scatters less of the light that is reflected back from the projector essentially reducing fuzziness you would get because it is retaining the sharpness from the projector, and source material. No other company on the market does this.
